LEGO League Robot Demonstration
This year the Powderpuff Derby has some new friends! Make your pinewood car and race in our classic Derby. Get together with your troop and build a solar-powered car. Then check out SU93’s LEGO League Robotics team and learn the code for “Vroom Vroom”!
WHO:
All Girl Scouts and friends who may be interested in Scouting
WHAT:
All young scientists in grades K–12 will have an opportunity to to build a pinewood derby car, learning valuable skills in science and the design process. Scientists in grades 5-12 will also be welcome in our solar car competition. All girls will be able to meet our LEGO League team and see how they build robots for complex task competitions. Our young scientists will be able to see how a robot is built and how this team codes them.
The afternoon will conclude with an awards ceremony which will recognize speed, design innovation, and creativity. Every participant will receive a custom commemorative fun patch!

sell food, and wrangle the entrants. Sign up here.

TICKETS:
$20 per Derby Car entrant • $5 per Solar Car entrant
All entrants receive a custom fun patch.
Ticket price includes lunch and one drink. Additional food, drinks, and desserts are available for purchase at the concession stand for entrants and guests.

Best Theme Car (Under the Sea) • Most Innovative Design
CUPCAKE CHALLENGE:
Bake six cupcakes and decorate them in our Derby theme,
Under the Sea. Enter 1 in our competition and donate the remaining
5 to the concession stand to raise money for the Service Unit.
